Mountain Artists Guild

I am proud to be a member of Mountain Artists Guild of Prescott, AZ. Founded in 1949, the Guild plays a major role in the Northern Arizona visual arts community, including holding several festivals, juried competitions, and exhibits each year. In 2022, I was awarded First Place for my entry in the exhibit, "From Earth To Table," and in 2024 I was honored with a First Place showing in the "Mile High Moments" exhibit.

Creators Collection at Grand Canyon

In December 2023, I applied and competed to be an artist with the Creators Collection at Grand Canyon, and was thrilled to be selected in January 2024. My pieces are currently being shown and sold at two gift shops on the Grand Canyon's South Rim, and will soon be available in their online store.

I strive to make these pieces relevant to the visitor's trip to this natural wonder. The colorways I use reflect the vivid hues of the Grand Canyon: reds, browns, and oranges represent complex geologic layers; shades of green depict sage and pine found at the Grand Canyon's North and South rims and the Colorado Plateau Region; yellow pigments portray the brilliant Arizona sun; and turquoise hues symbolize the waters of Havasupai Falls and jewelry crafted by Grand Canyon Tribes. Stylized flowers, feathers, and leaves represent the rich variety of the Grand Canyon's flora and fauna.

Town of Prescott Valley Fine Art Showcase

In 2022, I was awarded third place in the Town of Prescott's Fine Art Showcase exhibit, "Arizona Skies." The piece I entered in this show would also go on to win a blue ribbon at the Yavapai County Fair a few months later!

Yavapai County Fair

Since 2021, I have been entering my work in the annual Yavapai County Fair, held each year in September at the Prescott Rodeo Grounds. In 2022, I took home a First Place blue ribbon for this "Arizona Sunset," done on a brilliant red upcycled charger plate.

"Nature" International Competition

In September 2024, I was humbled and proud to be awarded with an Honorable Mention by Blue Koi Gallery in their international art competition entitled "Nature." The piece I entered represents the sage and agave found in the pinyon-juniper woodland ecosystem of the Prescott, Arizona region, and is currently on diaplay and available at The Gallery in Williams on historic Route 66 in Williams, AZ.

"Cancer - 2024" International Competition

In October 2024, I was honored to be juried and selected to participate in Gallerium's "Cancer - 2024" international art competition. Ten countries were represented with myriad art mediums. The piece I entered was a large, upcycled Native American drum that I worked in shades of turquoise, the color that has sustained me throughout my cancer journey. This piece has since sold at The Gallery in Williams.
